The Needles at Canon Beach, Oregon were one of my favorite photo locations when I lived in the West. This was an accidental shimmering moon shot. By that I mean that my intention was to overexpose to get the detail in the rocks as the sky was clear and the sun high in the sky. Instead, I underexposed it and got a better shot than I could have hoped for.
