Milky Way and Haystack Rock
I've really enjoyed night time photography and making a photo of the well known Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach, OR was pretty exciting. There was a moonless sky and the Milky Way was clearly visible. I made this photo with a 20 second exposure, an aperture value of f2.8, ISO 3200 and focal length of 24mm. Unfortunately the eye cannot see what a camera sees when it is capturing light for 20 seconds. As spectacular as the Milky Way is to the eye, a photograph is even better. If this and the other night time shots on this site don't inspire you to try night photography, I don't think anything will.
