The Milky Way was clearly visible in the southwestern sky on October 1, 2013.. This was a 15 second exposure at f4 and a focal length of 21mm. The reflection of the stars on the water was amazing. Even places where there are dark skies suffer from too much artificial light. I had to tone down the light on the island which was lighted up by a sodium vapor light across the lake.
