Gannet in Flight
Rarely does a photographer get the opportunity to shoot flying birds at eye level. In Newfoundland, there is a location where thousands of nesting Gannets spend their summers. They can be photographed from a cliff 500 feet above the ocean. A rock island is only a short distance from the edge and it is full of these birds. They fly above, below and at eye level. The grey background was due to the dense fog.
