Snapper
I found this Snapping Turtle on a pathway at a local nature center. It was huge; probably weighing at least 50 pounds. His shell was completely moss covered and the claws on his feet looked like they belonged to a bear. My 70-200 mm telephoto gave me this portrait. The Nine Mile Creek Watershed District used this photo in their 2013 calendar.
