South Dakota Sunset
This is one of my favorite shots. I liked the ridges as they met the highway near Pierre, SD. As I shot, the sun began to set, lighting up the sky in brilliant orange. Of course, the problem was to expose it properly. If I exposed for the sky, the foreground was black. Exposing the foreground properly, blew out the sky. I took multiple exposures and combined them in Photoshop to get the entire photo exposed as I saw it.
