White Sands
There is no place like White Sands, New Mexico anywhere. The sand is as white as snow and when the wind blows, the sand drifts across the roads in this National Monument. The Park Service uses snowplows to clear them. The roads looked very much like Minnesota in the dead of winter but the temperatures were about 80 degrees warmer.
