Antelope Canyon
Antelope Canyon at Page, Arizona is a very special place. On the Navajo Indian Reservation, the rock formations are the result of flash floods that pour through the canyon after heavy rains. The walls are high and rarely does sun reach the canyon floor but when it does, sunbeam photos are possible. When you see a spot of light on the floor of the canyon, you throw sand from the canyon floor into the air. The fine particles that are suspended in the air reflect the sunlight causing the beam to become visible. If you go there, pay for the photographers tour. When I was there, the canyon was full of tourists. After an hour, they were all gone and I had another hour in the canyon by myself.
